After more than twenty years of performing classical and jazz music on the organ and piano in Europe and the United States, I can confidently say that Jannis Roos is one of the most musically mature, creative, tenacious and open-minded colleagues I have ever met – despite his young age. In our project for organ and violin, I was able to observe an artistic growth process in him – and, thanks to him, in myself as well. The result was that we played in perfect harmony. As a composer, conductor and multi-instrumentalist for whom music is not only a vocation but a way of life, I have high standards of artistic excellence and pedagogical finesse. Mr Roos' lessons were very friendly and professional. His way of conveying his joy in the instrument and in playing greatly strengthened my love of music and the violin.
